Conditioning Hardwood Pellets
Conditioning Hardwood Pellets from Hudson Valley Biomass – Thinking Green® are intended for periodic maintenance burns, helping support cleaner combustion and responsible pellet-stove care. They are not a substitute for chimney inspection or professional cleaning. These pellets are produced using 100% untreated hardwood and natural mineral conditioners, with no detergents, surfactants, copper, chlorine, or added fragrances.
Intended Use
Conditioning Hardwood Pellets are not a daily heating fuel. They are designed to be burned occasionally to:
- Support cleaner, more complete combustion
- Encourage drier, more manageable residue
- Help maintain consistent stove performance
Recommended Maintenance Burn Use for 9lb Bag
- Initial maintenance period: During the first several weeks of the heating season, a maintenance burn may be performed up to two times per week, using approximately 9 oz per application.
- Ongoing maintenance: After the initial period, most users reduce use to one maintenance burn per week, based on stove performance and operating conditions.
- Typical yield: A 9 lb. bag, when portioned into 9 oz maintenance applications, provides approximately 16 treatments.

- Drier, powderier residue in the appliance and venting system
