Production Worker

Production Worker / Packaging Operator Responsibilities:

• The packaging operator is required to perform two functions: the bagging operation and the baler operation. The packaging operator must maintain the ability to perform both bagging and baler functions as determined by the Shift Leads.
• Operate machinery in a productive manner using the established safety guidelines and procedures.
• Responsible for assisting other production areas, as needed.
• Move and wrap completed products.
• Will be lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 5 hours per day
• Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills. Communicate any moisture or material problems to Shift Lead.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Bagging Operation:

• Responsible for operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jack, and bag sealer.
• Stacking bags on pallets, putting covers on pallets and placing finished goods in the correct warehouse location.
• Position requires accurate completion of the Bagger production report, filling pellet sample cups every ton for quality control information, and tagging pallet with Quality Control tag with initials, date, ton number, and the shift the pallet was completed.

Production Worker / Packaging Operator Qualifications/Education:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Will require good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Will need to pass the company forklift training.

• Required to read and interpret scales.
• Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and
timing of baler and various other simple maintenance problems.
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.

Operations Manager

Demonstrate Competence:

• Responsible to plan, direct and coordinate the production department.
• Responsible to prioritize and prepare production schedules and communicate production goals to the appropriate departments.

• Ensuring appropriate levels are maintained to allow efficient operation of the facility.
• Oversees the implementation of all quality control SOP policies/procedures including the PFI Standards Program.
• Responsible for the safe operation of the facility.
• Safety Program at the plant level. Includes all reporting requirements as required by OSHA or state and federal regulations.

Requirements Qualifications/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/industrial management or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of related supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a “roll up your sleeves” approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking. This is a day to day operating role but also one that requires resourcefulness, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership and motivational skills.
• Requires a medium degree of technical and analytical skills. Requires the ability to do simple to complex math calculations.
• Must be able to work in a high temperature/ humidity area.

Woodyard Loader Operator

Woodyard Loader Operator Job Duties:

Raw Material Mixing and Intake Process

• Mix material per specification to ensure production is set up for upcoming days to ensure proper blend and moisture content.
• Receiving incoming loads of raw materials and separate by species
• Inspect quality of raw material to standard and notify plant leadership of any defects
• Load infeed bin per production schedule requirements

• Will need to climb up and down stairs to get in and out of loader with no fear of confined spaces or heights

Maintenance Planner

Maintenance Planner to Demonstrate Competence:

• The Maintenance Planner will be responsible to plan and schedule the maintenance program at the plant.

Mill Equipment Operator

Mill Equipment Operator Description

• Responsible for operating and adjusting 1 pellet mill.
• Performing QC testing of finished pellets.
• Responsible for testing of incoming raw material and mix moisture content.
• Responsible for roll changes on pellet mills using overhead hoist.
• Perform routine inspections of the process to identify any issues or problems.
• Use of Industrial Fork Truck.
• Loading and Unloading trucks.

Mill Equipment Operator Inspections and Maintenance:

• Assist dryer operator with keeping pellet moisture between 4-4.5% moisture content by giving feedback to dryer operator.
• Measure and record the Durability, volume of fines, pellet diameter, on finished pellets to keep our quality in line with Biomass standards.
• Continuously watch for problems troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, spot fires, and hot bearings.
• Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust or change pellet mill rolls/dies accordingly.
• Maintain a clean work area by clearing piles of sawdust around the mill room.
• Perform ash tests on mix as well as the finished pellet and communicate these to the dryer op.
• Perform visual volumes of the silo’s volume and report that to the dryer op.

Requirements

Mill Equipment Operator Communication and Teamwork:

• Assisting the Packaging, Loader, and dryer Operators on the shift.
• Collect the shift Operator reports and verify that the paperwork is complete and accurate—complete daily Shift Summary Reports.
• Report and monitor, incidents, accidents, and maintenance requests.

• Lead by example with exemplary attendance, work ethic, positive attitude, professionalism, and a safety-first mentality.
• Participate in down day repairs and cleaning of the process.
• Perform other duties as required.

Mill Equipment Operator Qualifications/Education:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
• Requires a high degree of technical, analytical skills.
• Must be able to pass the company forklift certification.
• Requires lifting up to 80 lbs safely, nearly waist-high, and standing for up to 10 hours per day.
